Peter Waller-Flynn

With an impressive 23 years in the HR industry, Peter Waller-Flynn has made a name for himself within the sector having worked across the globe for a number of high profile public, private and third sector companies.

Having worked as an Executive Director for 12 years, Peter is familiar with sitting at the helm and has since embarked on his own business venture alongside HR professional Mary Ball. Launched in 2017, PrivilegeHR is specialises in providing a comprehensive HR service for businesses in the Merseyside area and beyond offering recruitment, training and HR advice.

Adopting a commercial and innovative approach to business throughout his working career, Peter’s values have translated into proven success. With a focus on creating a work environment with person centred values, PrivilegeHR delivers on this same ethos.

During his career, Peter has achieved improved employee feedback through change management and development of career paths, overhaul of leadership structure and roles and the implementation of an innovative performance management tool for both employees and senior managers. Peter’s work ethic centres on the successful recruitment, motivation and retention of staff.

Peter has previously been a Finalist for both the Personnel Today Award for Innovation in Recruitment and Recruitment Weekly for Best Recruitment Innovation.

Mary Ball

With over 34 years’ experience working as a HR professional, Mary Ball has worked with global brands reinventing their HR policies and making significant savings of both monetary and time value.

Taking her unrivalled expertise and knowledge in the Human Resources sector, Mary launched her own business, PrivilegeHR, in 2017 alongside Executive Director Peter Waller-Flynn. PrivilegeHR is a specialist HR consultancy providing a comprehensive service for businesses in the Merseyside area and beyond offering recruitment, training and advice.

With a proven track record in people management, leadership and project management, Mary has managed large teams, implemented innovative HR strategies and transformed company processes for businesses with over 800 employees.

Notably, Mary has received recognition for her work in the industry having been nominated for the Personnel Today Award for Innovation in Recruitment and Recruitment Weekly for Best Recruitment Innovation.

A testament to her skills and knowledge of HR processes, Mary has previously supported the Home Office on the procurement of a national HR system as part of her extensive 10 years’ experience as a director.

Mary is no stranger to developing new businesses having previously supported business start-ups in a HR capacity, leading to success with multi-million-pound turnovers. She has always been heavily involved in business development, having played a crucial role in the growth of the companies she has worked for; a skill that she brings to her own business venture.
