Supporting Your People Through Life’s Challenges – Our Welfare & Counselling Services

Employee wellbeing isn’t a “nice to have”, it’s a core part of building a safe, productive and resilient workplace. As pressures inside and outside of work continue to rise, more organisations are recognising the importance of offering structured welfare and counselling support to their teams.

At PrivilegeHR, we provide confidential, compassionate guidance to help employees navigate personal, emotional and work‑related challenges. Whether someone is struggling with stress, conflict, bereavement, financial worries or a difficult life transition, early support can make a meaningful difference to their wellbeing and performance.

Our welfare and counselling services are designed to:

  • Offer a safe, confidential space for employees to talk openly
  • Provide practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety and workplace pressures
  • Support managers in handling sensitive conversations with confidence
  • Reduce absence, improve morale and strengthen team culture
  • Promote a proactive, people‑centred approach to wellbeing

Investing in your people’s welfare is one of the most powerful ways to build trust and create a workplace where individuals feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

If you’d like to explore how our welfare and counselling services can support your organisation, our team is here to help. Get in touch for a friendly, confidential conversation.

Supporting Employee Wellbeing Through Our Partnership With Headstart

At PrivilegeHR, we’re committed to ensuring employees have access to the right support when they need it most. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Headstart Mental Health Clinic, a trusted provider of personalised, compassionate mental health care.

Headstart offers a wide range of therapeutic services tailored to each individual. Their team is known for being open‑minded, respectful and non‑judgmental, creating a safe space for people to talk openly and receive specialist support.

For more than 13 years, Headstart has delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and helped individuals manage challenges such as work‑related stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self‑esteem, confidence issues, eating disorders, addiction, and general emotional strain. Their client‑first approach ensures every person receives practical, tailored guidance grounded in real therapeutic expertise.

At the heart of the clinic is Andy, Headstart’s founder and lead therapist. After serving in the Armed Forces, he retrained in mental health, achieving a BSc (Hons) Psychology, PgDip in CBT and PgDip in Mental Health Science. With extensive experience supporting a wide range of mental health conditions, including suicidality, neurodiversity and complex emotional needs, Andy brings a depth of understanding that makes Headstart’s support truly unique.

Our partnership with Headstart ensures employees can access confidential, specialist care whenever they need it, whether they’re facing workplace pressures, personal challenges or long‑term mental health concerns. It strengthens our commitment to creating workplaces where wellbeing comes first and no one has to face difficulties alone.

Creating a Culture of Care: Why Counselling Support Matters

As we move through 2026, wellbeing continues to sit high on the agenda for employers across the UK. Teams are navigating rapid change, rising workloads and the ongoing impact of personal and financial pressures. In this environment, having access to timely, professional support isn’t just beneficial, it’s essential.

PrivilegeHR’s counselling and welfare services give employees a trusted place to seek help before issues escalate. Our experienced team works with organisations of all sizes to provide:

  • One‑to‑one welfare check‑ins
  • Short‑term counselling support
  • Guidance on mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Manager support for complex or sensitive cases
  • Signposting to specialist services where needed

By embedding welfare and counselling support into your people strategy, you’re not only helping individuals, you’re strengthening your organisation’s culture, resilience and long‑term performance.

A workplace that listens, supports and responds is a workplace where people stay, grow and contribute at their best.

Proud to Achieve the Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Award

We’re incredibly proud to share that PrivilegeHR has been awarded the Silver Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award under the Armed Forces Covenant. This is a huge milestone for us and a reflection of our ongoing commitment to supporting veterans, reservists and military families.

The Silver Award recognises employers who go above and beyond, promoting fair, inclusive practices and championing the skills and value the Armed Forces community brings to the workplace. For us, this recognition is both professional and deeply personal, as many of our clients and team members have strong connections to the Forces.

This achievement highlights who we are as a company: values‑driven, people‑focused and dedicated to making a positive impact. We’re honoured to receive this award and excited to continue strengthening our support for those who serve.

June 2026: Honouring D‑Day and the Communities We Support

June is a time of reflection across the UK as we honour D‑Day, a moment in history that continues to resonate with families, communities and workplaces today.

At PrivilegeHR, supporting the Armed Forces community is part of who we are, not just in June, but every day.

Our commitment to the Armed Forces is both professional and deeply personal and D-Day reminds us of the courage, resilience and unity shown on 6 June 1944, values we see reflected in the Armed Forces community today, and values we proudly champion in the workplaces we support.

Through our HR guidance, welfare support and inclusive employment practices, we help organisations create environments where veterans and reservists can thrive.

As we remember D‑Day this month, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to those who serve, past and present.
