Thank you for being part of our growing community. We hope you find this edition useful, practical and full of ideas to support you and your people as we move through the year.
Connecting With the Hampshire Business Community at the 2026 Business Expo
Earlier this month, PrivilegeHR was delighted to exhibit at the Hampshire Business Expo, joining hundreds of local organisations for a day of networking, learning and community connection.
Representing our Hampshire office, Chloe Ditton and Peter Waller‑Flynn spent the day meeting an incredible mix of businesses, from ambitious start‑ups to established employers shaping the region’s growth. The conversations were energetic, insightful and full of shared challenges and opportunities.
For us, events like this are about more than visibility. They’re about building genuine relationships, understanding what support local employers need, and showing how PrivilegeHR can stand alongside them as a trusted partner.
Chloe and Peter were thrilled by the warm welcome and the number of meaningful conversations throughout the day. It reinforced what we already know – Hampshire is full of brilliant businesses doing brilliant things.
Whether you’re scaling, restructuring, recruiting or simply want to strengthen your people practices, our UK wide team is here to help. From hands‑on HR support to strategic guidance, we’re committed to helping organisations create workplaces where people and businesses thrive.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, we loved meeting you, and we look forward to continuing the conversations.
If you didn’t make it to the Expo but would like to connect with Chloe, she would be delighted to hear from you.

Mid‑Year HR Check‑In: Are Your People Plans on Track?
As we reach the halfway point of the year, now is the ideal time to pause and review how your people plans are progressing. A mid‑year check‑in helps you stay aligned, spot issues early and make sure your team feels supported for the months ahead.
Review Goals
Are your people objectives still aligned with your business needs? Revisit priorities, check for capability gaps and make sure managers are clear on what they’re working towards.
Check Performance & Development
Use this moment for meaningful conversations. Are objectives still realistic? Who needs support, coaching or recognition? Early action prevents bigger challenges later.
Prioritise Wellbeing
Mid‑year pressures can impact morale. Look at workloads, engagement and how confident managers feel having wellbeing conversations.
Strengthen Workforce Planning
Assess recruitment needs, succession plans and upcoming pressures so you can stay ahead rather than react under strain.
Whether you need support reviewing your strategy, coaching managers or navigating performance concerns, we’re here to guide you with clarity and confidence.
A mid‑year reset is a powerful way to refocus your people and your business, and we’re always here to help you make the most of it.

Navigating Redundancy With Care: How PrivilegeHR Supports You and Your People
Redundancy is one of the most challenging situations any organisation can face. It affects more than roles and structures, it impacts people, livelihoods and the emotional wellbeing of your team. At PrivilegeHR, we understand the weight of these decisions, and we’re here to support you through every step with clarity, compassion and confidence.
Whether you’re restructuring, responding to financial pressures or adapting to new operational needs, our role is to help you manage the process legally, fairly and with dignity for everyone involved.
Clear Guidance From Start to Finish
We provide end‑to‑end support, including:
- reviewing your business case and ensuring it meets legal requirements
- planning timelines, documentation and communication
- guiding managers through consultations
- ensuring fair selection processes
- supporting you with letters, scripts and employee conversations
Our aim is to remove uncertainty, reduce risk and give you the confidence that every step is handled correctly.
Handled well, redundancy doesn’t have to damage your culture. In fact, many organisations find that a transparent, people‑first approach strengthens trust.
We know how tough these moments can be for leaders too, and we’re here to offer reassurance, practical advice and a calm, experienced perspective.
If your organisation is facing change or you’d like to discuss future planning, we’re always here to help.
You don’t have to navigate redundancy alone, PrivilegeHR is with you every step of the way.

Another Successful Knowsley Chamber People’s Forum: Supporting Businesses Through Change
We were delighted another Knowsley Chamber People’s Forum, bringing together local employers to explore the evolving challenges of people management and the legal changes coming into force over the next 12 months.
Representing PrivilegeHR, Peter Waller-Flynn delivered a clear and practical update on key employment law developments, with a particular focus on probation periods and unfair dismissal. These changes can feel complex, but our aim was to break them down into straightforward guidance that helps Knowsley businesses stay compliant, reduce risk and manage performance with confidence.
The session highlighted what these updates mean in real terms for employers: how to approach probation reviews, how to protect your organisation during early employment, and how to maintain positive employee relations while navigating change.
It was fantastic to see so many engaged HR and Operational Managers in the room, all committed to strengthening their organisations and supporting their people. Events like this remind us why we value our partnership with Knowsley Chamber: a community of businesses eager to learn, adapt and grow.
At PrivilegeHR, we’re proud to play a part in equipping local employers with the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to navigate an increasingly competitive landscape.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to Knowsley Chamber and CHughes Consultancy for helping make the session such a success. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting our local business community throughout the year.
